1949 MG-TC EXU Roadster
1 of 494 Ever Produced
Frame off Restoration.
For over 63 years I have been selling Rolls Royce, Bentleys, Jaguar and thoroughbred collectables, both new and pre owned, from this same location. I still get excited when I am able to offer a truly exceptional motorcar. Experts agree that the most valuable of the MG “T” series is the “TC” and the most valuable of the “TC” is the EXU. The EXU was the designation for an export unit that was being sent to the United States. MG developed this special model in response to the overwhelming demand from the American market but it still maintained the English right hand drive. The “TC EXU” was produced in 1949 with a total of only 494 built. The EXU version differed from the regular TC with the following improvements: Full with bumpers, Central MG medallion on the rear bumper, badge bar, fog lamp and external horn deleted, 2 Lucas Windtone horns located in the engine compartment, Steering wheel in gold pearl finish, Tail lights and turning signals, 2 map reading lights added, Rear view mirror above the dashboard, high beam headlights and the instrument panel rearranged.
This particular motorcar has had a frame off restoration and is in extraordinary condition. It comes with a brand new convertible top with side curtains and car cover. It is very rare that a TC EXU is available for sale and rarer is one in this condition.
This is for the true connoisseur who is looking for a most amazing motorcar to add to their collection without the restoration cost or auction fees.
